Legends of Middle Earth… IS RELEASED
Many congratulations to Stephen, his sidekick Lars and others for finishing this project.
Legends of Middle Earth is a merge of Legends of the Third Age and Stephen’s Middle Earth modpack, complete with the Two Towers campaign, plus a few scenarios for The Return of the King and The Hobbit. In addition, you are now able to play standard games against each as the race of Men, Elves, Orc or Dwarves!
On top of the hundreds/thousands of hours put into creating the new units, buildings and levels, there is also a completely original soundtrack. Please note there are also sounds and images borrowed from the movie in order to increase the realism/novelty.
All contained in a zip archive that’s less than the size of a graphics card driver.
So without further delay, here is the link to the file on our server: Fly you fools!
Update: 8th April 2011 – Problems were reported with the download file being corrupted. The above link now links to the file on LFS, which is uncorrupted.

The campaign is wonderful, albeit quite difficult in some areas. My only complaint really is…why were the different races made so we could pick and play them…if there’s no one to play them with? The AI was not programmed to do anything and no multiplayer function was implemented. I hope something will be done about this at some point.
I will look into the AI. I have obviously added something that has messed it up. The fix on AoMH will stop the compile error, but it still doesn’t play well.
Have just had a play and if you play on Hard or Nightmare with the fixed AI it shouldn’t be too bad.
I’m downloading the mod, I hope will work
and great job by the way, too bad I didn’t play the game at the time
I couldn’t download the scenarios from dropbox, because the file couldn’t be found it say error 404! it can be repaired?
The file has been deleted for now, and will probably be back some time in the near future
Sorry, it was eating my monthly download limit within a few days and as I have been out of town more often than not recently, I had to remove it.
I am happy to post it here if Sebastian’s limit is more gerenous.
Stephen
oh thanks I will wait
